Craig Douce
After almost 20 years working as a newspaper photojournalist and commercial photographer, Craig Douce started Banff Canmore Photo.
Craig's formal training came via a photojournalism major in the Journalism Arts program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta. He is fortunate to have learned the photography craft on film and in the darkroom, prior to transitioning to the digital world soon after entering the industry.
Craig started his career with Alberta daily newspapers in Calgary and Red Deer prior to moving to Canmore to help launch the Rocky Mountain Outlook newspaper in 2001. Working at the Outlook provided an opportunity to photograph amazingly diverse subjects, including world-class athletes, nationally-relevant news events and incredible entertainment.
Despite the rewarding traditional newspaper work, it was the Bow Valley's natural wonders that provided endless photographic inspiration.
Capturing iconic wildlife amidst a constantly changing, dramatic landscape became a passion.
Craig's attention to the artistic and emotional aspects of photography, in addition to the technical skills honed during his 20-year photojournalism career, has created a unique photographic flavor.

Stuart is a country kid from rural Queensland, Australia, who having travelled numerous countries and visited places he can't wait to return to, has settled in the stunning Bow Valley.
After three years of being an Auditor for a multi-national company back in Australia, Stuart discovered there was more to life than spreadsheets and open planned offices. Instead, he picked up a camera and leaned into his creative side, searching for those magical moments in life that make it all worthwhile. Stuart believes in the beauty of experiences, places, and people which he aims to capture and share with the world.
